Google has rolled out an upgraded version of its Flight Search Tool, increasing the “airfare-comparison service” from only U.S to more than 500 destinations across the globe. Google has not yet furnished a detailed list of international destinations included, but most Asian and European cities are available.
Since the launch of Google Flight Search Tool, numerous globetrotters were keen to utilize the tool to look for hot destinations outside U.S and this in turn has inspired the team of Google to expand its route map. Starting today, people can find international flights, including airfares from the United States conveniently and swiftly.
It is still vague how well this new version of flight search tool is doing or whether people are utilizing it in place of some of the established travel search engines and websites. Currently the PC version of Google Flight Search tool is more exigent to use as compared to some of its rivals such as Kayak. The iPad and mobile versions of Flight Search are easier, less cluttered and simpler.
Eventually, the success or failure of Flight Search tool by Google will primarily demand on a few variables: its features and UI and on how aggressively Google endorses flight search results in organic search.
