Interflora (one of the major flower delivery service providers in the United Kingdom), which had lost its search rankings in Google almost 11 days back, is back again in the search results.
As noticed by Chris Gilchrist, Interflora is now ranking again on Google for its company name. It has regained its no.1 spot for ‘florist’. However, for other searches like ‘flowers’, ‘mother day flowers’, ‘flower delivery’, ‘flowers delivered’ and ‘roses’, it still has not regained its rankings back.
According to Searchmetrics Data reported by Martin McDonald Interflora ranked 3rd for all the above mentioned searches, but now it ranks 9th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th resp. for the above listed searches.
After the penalty, Google’s representative refused to comment on the matter. However, it has been observed in the past that many Google penalties like this are not permanent, and the sites regain the rankings by rectifying their behaviour that went against the Google’s SEO guidelines.
