Google using Google + as a tool to promote AdWords Express
Google’s AdWords Express has been around since 2011, and there have been timely updates and changes in it since its inception. Apparently, Google has now speeded up its promotion using Google + as a perfect platform.
The simplified SEM offering for small businesses that AdWords offers is now being cross promoted by Google +, something that DejanSEO noted last week. Wondering, how?
Well, Google is suggesting pages on Google+ as the landing page substitutes for SMB websites on AdWords Express and thereby promoting it.
The fact that the company had been struggling on this front to get SMB’s involved in paid-search via such a self-service platform; this step is being looked to bring many positives for the company. However, so far the local business owners are complaining about the higher costs of this service as compared to the traditional AdWords, but there has been no official update from Google, as to how widely this AdWords Express is adopted amongst the SMB’s.
One thing that we would like to mention here is that this AdWords Express option is available only for business with a physical location only.
