Matt Cutts talks about the upcoming algorithm updates from Google at the SMX West Panel

As a part of the ‘Search Engine Police’, Google’s head of search spam Matt Cutts talked about Google’s upcoming Penguin, Panda, and Link Networks updates at the SMX West Panel. In his words, “There will be a large Penguin update in 2013 and I think it will be one of the more talked about Google algorithm updates this year. Google’s search quality team is working on a major update to the Penguin algorithm.” He also announced that by the end of this (15th of March) week or coming Monday (18th March), Google is going to roll out its next Panda Update. Stressing on Google targeting a ‘Link Network’ Matt said that they would release another update in the next week or two that specifically targets another large link network. Matt further instated that these updates are going to be very significant and may send undulations through the SEO industry in the coming time.
