Remembering Martin Luther King Jr.

Martin Luther King, the name needs no introduction. In the United States, people celebrate third Monday of January each year as ‘Martin Luther King Jr. Day’. Commemorating Martin, Government declared this day as a Federal Holiday in the country. The day was signed into the law in the year 1983 and for the first time in 1986 it was celebrated. Every year, since 2003, Google has been celebrating this day that falls on 15th with a logo dedicated to this revolutionary personality, who brought a change in the way people used to think in the country. As of this year, which would have been his 83rd birthday, Google has come up with this specific logo dedicated to the contributions, future envisions along with his life. One of the ‘O’s in Google is marked as Mr. King’s face in the shades of green, blue and yellow, reflecting his importance in the country’s history.
